Year 11 Geography Field Trip

Year 11 Geographers have been collecting primary research for their controlled assessment this week. All the students needed to participate in a day at the river collecting data on discharge, wetted perimeter and velocity. The Swannington Beck is a small tributary that flows into the Wensum and our students have taken measurements at five different points along its journey from source to mouth, learning fieldwork techniques and all important group work skills. They now have the task of writing up their data and deciding whether the Beck is natural along all of its route, or not!
