On 4th and 6th July, the year 10 geoggers went to the North Norfolk Coast to investigate coastal processes and impacts of coastal management. Using clinometers and ranging poles they measured the changes in gradient of the beaches at Mundesley, Happisburgh and Sea Palling to see if the process of longshore drift is replenishing the sand. They also looked at the sea defences to investigate the effectiveness of groynes, sea walls and rock reefs at protecting the vulnerable coastline.
They did really well and were a credit to us!
